About Me

      I want to use my skills with design and video-editing to help make something that entertains people, helps them learn, and gives them inspiration.

 

       The two things I’d most love to do with my skills is to show how amazing the world is and to clarify misconceptions about the world and people in it. I want to help people to see how many amazing things are packed into the world we live in and to be confident and joyful about their own place in the world. Many of the things that make the world the wonder-filled place that it is are misunderstood or widely unknown -- from the linguistic intricacy of sign languages to the complexities of history to opportunities offered to communities by public libraries.

       One of my dreams is to make animated videos that explain common misconceptions and the truth behind them. I hope to use animated visuals in combination with a story narrative to make entertaining and engaging videos. This can make it easier for the viewers to absorb the information, as it keeps it from becoming lifeless or confrontational. Explanatory visuals can also add depth to the words I use to make my point, adding dramatic irony to a scene or clarifying an idea. In this way, viewers would get an opportunity to expand their knowledge base, and draw conclusions accordingly, without necessarily feeling forced into agreement.

      The world is full of wonder. I see animation as a way to play a part in contributing to that wonder.
